Introducing a new series of works: De Femme Gothique
This is one of the most enjoyable series I've worked on in a while using many 'non-destructive' Photoshop techniques, some reaching back to my loves of text and image. So De Femme Gothique experiments with using type withing the composition in interesting and exciting ways while still keeping the 'Roberto Segate' feel. Have a look and see what you think. The series are available as prints and Photoshop video tutorials. A special pack is available very soon which includes around 8 hours of tuts and all the resources you'll need. Keep your eyes out for this.

January 2007 Well I've got a couple of news items to add this month! (It's a bit like busses; you wait for one for ages then several turn up at once!) Ahem, anyway, first off there's some new work called Clamor & Smoke which was a carthatic experience for me really, I was able to let go a bit more; work loosely without the regimented preciseness I usually condem myself to. What do you think? Are they working?
Over the last few months many of you asked me whether I'd be working on a new tutorial; and I have! This tutorial follows the making of the image above from Clamour and Smoke. It describes loads of Photoshop techniques and short cuts and hopefully will be a useful guide to those of you interested in gaining new skills. The 3 hour DVD contains all the files you'll need to create your own image and there's a finished image which you can print out and keep.
August 2006I've put together a Grunge DVD which contains everything from the (old) CD Grunge Texture series as well as many extras, thanks to all of you who requested this, it's a good idea. I've also started work on a new series of work. Have a look at Clamor & Smoke, I'd value your feedback on this.
February 2006 I'm really excited to announce the release of a labour of love of mine - The Dark Art of Roberto Segate: A retrospective. This book took a full year to become a reality but it's here at last!It comprises a 123 full colour pages with over 120 photographs. The book describes my work starting right back in 1996 up to 2006, and features images from series of works such as 'Words and Bitches', 'The Fetish Calendar', 'Psychopathia Sexualis' and 'Pre Mortem'. There's some explanations about the procedures and concepts behind the work and many 'grab shots' which were taken whilst shooting.
December 2005 I've now included 5 new digital gothic horror images from the 'Pre-Mortem' series.
December 2005 Hi everybody! I'd firstly like to say a big thank you to all of you who showed interest in my gothic artwork during 2005. There's some more gruesome and macabre nude/gothic work added as a continuation of the 'Pre-Mortem' gothic horror series.

This DVD video tutorial contains 3 1/2 hours of technique, tips and tricks, and insight into the creation of two of my images from the site. If you've ever wondered just how to create work like you see on this site then this DVD tutorial will be for you. I've also supplied all the source files for you to follow along!
